As strangers and sojourners, Christians must navigate the tension of living in earthly kingdoms while belonging to God’s eternal kingdom. Some may be called into political office, but they must walk as children of light in the midst of darkness. Others may simply live as citizens, using their rights without being entangled in worldly priorities. Whether voting, abstaining, or serving in government, our engagement must always be shaped by the values of Christ’s kingdom, not the passing kingdoms of this world.
