When the economic systems of this world fail the poor and vulnerable, where can they turn? Psalm 12:5 reveals a God who hears the groaning of the needy, rises to defend the afflicted, and promises safety to those who long for relief. In Christ, this promise reaches its ultimate fulfillment: the poor are not forgotten by God but are invited to place their hope fully in him and the coming kingdom. “Blessed are you who are poor, because the kingdom of God is yours.” — Luke 6:20 (CSB)
